“Tsutaya Souvenirs” by product designers Hiroshi Komiyama and Gottingham, and includes two forms of photographic work as artistic research. They traveled together, and through a series of dialogues with people involved in local craftsmanship, they improvised keywords using a staged photography/typology shooting style. In the Tokyo section, they visited Shinohara Shiko Ltd. in Koto-ku, Tokyo, and examined the words and things they saw and heard there [carts, movement of goods, trade, and hierarchy]. Designed by Toshimasa Kimura.
