Tokuko Shimizu’s textile posters were created for the exhibitions of the collective “Danger Museum,” which Miho Shimizu, Tokuko’s daughter, operated overseas with Øyvind Renberg. The book includes these fabric posters made by Tokuko, who is not a professional artist, sometimes against the instructions sent by Miho via email, along with related materials such as interviews.

Gottingham, as a co-author, develops a photo project focusing on the mother-daughter relationship. The book includes the “Her Posters” series born from this project. It features portraits of the mother and daughter swapping clothes, their hand performances entangled in the reversed textile posters, and some of the works from several photo projects.
