The Thinking Piece
The Thinking Piece is a non-profit platform that creates a platform for designers to communicate their support for various social issues, led by writer Takahiro Tsuchida and designers Hokuto Ando and Toshiya Hayashi of the design studio “we+”.
The exhibition featured works by 19 designers and creators from Japan and abroad, with proceeds from the sales of their works donated to humanitarian aid in Ukraine and neighboring countries.
Gottingham participated as Gottingham + Tokuko Shimizu, exhibiting a combination of light box works by Gottingham and light box covers by Tokuko Shimizu.
The Thinking Pieceは、ライターの土田貴宏、デザインスタジオ「we+」の安藤北斗と林登志也を中心に、様々な社会課題に対してデザイナーへ支援を呼びかけ、発信の場を作る非営利のプラットフォームである。
本展では国内外19組のデザイナー・クリエイターの作品の展示販売を行い、作品の売り上げはウクライナと周辺諸国の人道支援のために寄付された。
Gottinghamは、Gottingham ＋ Tokuko Shimizuとして参加。Gottinghamのライトボックス作品と、Tokuko Shimizuによるライトボックス用のカバーを組み合わせて展示した。
